Profile Update April 2007:
Since writing my original Profile in which I stated my wish to see the American Rockies Canadian or USA, we have recently had the pleasure to visit the Canadian Rockies.
We travelled to Calgary and enjoyed a Fly/Drive to Banff, then on to Jasper via Lake Louise. The route took us along The Icefields Parkway, which is full of the most breathtaking scenery, on route there are many outstanding sights including the above mentioned there are the Moraine Lake, Peyto Lake, Athabasca Falls and the Athabasca Glacier. Near Jasper there is Maligne Canyon and Lake, plus Mount Edith Cavell, on a clear day the views from the mountain tops are fantastic. From Jasper we drove to Whistler via Cache Creek Ranch, a genuine historic site containing a Saw Mill, Stagecoach Depot, a Native American Village and much more. From Whistler we travelled to Vancouver Island for several days then back to the Mainland to spend our last few days in the city of Vancouver. We enjoyed our fair share of good weather and have memories of a wonderful holiday.
