2011 RODEO REPORT

Well Blue Rodeo 2011 has come and gone so quick and we're already gearing up for 2012.  The Rodeo this year was a great success in as much as we had a record attendance, the weather was kind and as always great music and great company to enjoy it all with. A VERY BIG thank you to all those willing workers who worked so hard throughout the weekend, parking vans, parking cars, filling holes, marking pitches, erecting and dismantling marquees, need I go on? the Blue Rodeo is an open air festival and we as a Club thought that the new field was a much more attractive site and gave us much more control and privacy than before. As you are aware this will be the site for 2012 Blue Rodeo.

I am aware that there were a few areas needing improvement, such as lack of water points, elsan disposal points and a lumpy field. Well I'm sure all that can be taken care of for 2012. We are having the field rolled in the spring and we hope that the pre season isn't so dry, to give the better grass a chance to come through. There will be extra toilets and elsan points throughout the site, and we are hoping to get either another water line or increased pressure so that we can install a few more taps. All this together with a reshuffle of the arena to make the stalls more accessible and the authentic camps with more room should all make for a far better rodeo in 2012, and we already have some great bands booked.
