



The
Redditch Westerners BLUE RODEO Country and Western Festival, is an outdoor
festival held annually in August at Stratford upon Avon Racecourse. The festival
is primarily a 2 day event (Saturday and Sunday) with live music from 10.30am
till 11.00pm on Saturday and 10.30am till 6.pm on Sunday. There is also the
option to camp for the weekend within the festival area from Thursday to Monday
(includes live music on the Marquee on Thursday and Friday Evening) In addition
to the live music, there are static living history displays, with log cabins of
the pioneers and settlers, tepees of the Native Americans as well as a military
encampment from the American Civil War era. There are also arena displays,
authentic cowboy camps and a fast draw contest with both
individual and team
event trophies to be won. Your refreshment is catered for with hot and
cold food stands, licensed bar and ice cream vans. Should you wish to top up
your western wardrobe, there are western trade stands too.
The
BLUE RODEO is fast becoming one of the more popular small festivals on the
Country and Western scene and, the venue at Stratford offers us plenty of room
for future expansion. We would be happy to see you at the next "Rodeo" so for
